TransLink Agency Chosen To Provide Interpreting Services At CIS Upstream Technology Summit
The CIS Oil and Gas Production and Exploration Technologies Summit was held from 11 through 13 February at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Istanbul. Interpreting support for the forum was provided by TransLink translation agency. Three simultaneous interpreters were sent to the event.
The main goal of the summit was to promote an open discussion among oil and gas industry leaders on pressing topics, assess the effectiveness of technologies and exchange experience with colleagues in the industry. The format of the summit included seminars, round tables, coordinated business meetings and numerous opportunities to establish contacts with other representatives of the oil and gas sector.
Registration of delegates and a welcome finger buffet were organized on the eve of the summit. A panel discussion devoted to the prospects for information and communications technologies in the oil and gas industry opened on 12 February, the first work day of the summit. Seminars were conducted on the prospects for geological exploration work, utilization of associated gas and effective management of exploration and production data.
The second day was devoted to a discussion of such topics as new field development methods, optimizing raw materials production, and increasing the role of information technologies in exploration and production. A farewell reception was held after the main program, where participants could establish business contacts and chat in an informal atmosphere.
The CIS Upstream Technology Summit, the CIS summit of exploration and production technologies, was held from February 11-13 in Istanbul.
